    The successful candidate will join a department dedicated to the use of a curriculum responsive to the students it serves.

    Providing services related to Child Development on the Fresno City College campus and/or at off‑site community campus locations, the Coordinator will be responsible for:

    • Teaching a full schedule of developmental and transfer level Child Development courses as assigned;
    • Assisting in the planning, coordinating, directing and supervising the activities and staff of the Child Development Center;
    • Supervising the laboratory experience of child development students in a developmentally appropriate demonstration site environment for preschool and toddler age children;
    • Coordinating student observation and participation;
    • Developing program goals for children, parents, and students;
    • Administering the daily requirements of the Child Development Center;
    • Supervising the Child and Adult Care Food Program;
    • Administering the requirements and maintaining all state, local, and federal categorical grant programs, preparation of applications for child care funding, and early child care and education program management;
    • Assuring maintenance of a physical environment that conforms to the State Department of Social Services licensing standards of health and safety;
    • Conducting Center inspections to assure compliance;
    • Communicating with parents, staff and administrators related to Center operations and student progress;
    • Discussing issues or concerns with parents;
    • Enrolling children, maintaining appropriate records on children, staff, and students in compliance with District requirements, licensing regulations and other legal and regulatory provisions;
