The successful candidate will join a department dedicated to the use of a curriculum responsive to the students it serves.

• Teaching a full schedule of developmental and transfer level Disabled Students Program and Services courses as assigned;
• Identifying students able to benefit from instruction in Disabled Students Program & Services (DSPS) Developmental Services (DEVSER) pre-vocational skills training;
• Teaching independent living, remedial math, consumer skills training classes;
• Evaluating functional limitations, skills and abilities of students for appropriate vocational placements;
• Developing curriculum and individualized instruction plans;
• Program review, including development and assessment of student learning outcomes for courses and programs and using the results to improve teaching and learning;
• Instructing individuals in appropriate pre-vocational skills;
• Maintaining files and completing reports;
• Serving as liaison and resource person for college personnel;
• Participating on campus committees;
• Participating in career awareness and exploration activities;
• Advising student assistants;
• Serving on and attending department, college, and district committees as needed;
• Participating in program review, student learning outcome development, and assessment to improve student learning;
• Teaching assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, on-line or off-campus, and large group instruction classes as needed, may include off-campus instruction at local high schools for dual enrollment;
• Otherwise fulfilling all of the duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122; and
• Other duties as assigned.
