In the Agriculture Department under the general direction of the Dean of Instruction, the position provides instruction in agricultural technology on the Clovis Community College campus and/or at off-site community campus locations. The instructor will be responsible for:
- Teaching all classes in the Agriculture Department to include classes in Ag Systems Certificate such as Agriculture Technical Literacy, Agricultural Systems, Agricultural Safety, Equipment Operation, Configuration & Troubleshooting, and Workplace Effectiveness;
- Enhancing curriculum;
- Incorporating cutting-edge technology for optimal classroom delivery;
- Leveraging innovative methodologies such as online, hybrid or Competency-Based Education (CBE) designed to furnish students with the requisite knowledge and skills for attainment of their educational and career objectives;
- Recruiting and advising students;
- Staying current in the discipline and participating in professional development activities;
- Serving on departmental, division, and faculty committees and attending meetings & workshops as needed;
- Participating in program review, student learning outcome development and assessment to improve student learning;
- Teaching assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, online or off-campus and large group instruction classes as needed;
- Otherwise fulfilling all of the duties and responsibilities of faculty as required by Administrative Regulation 7122; and
- Other duties as assigned.
