Sr. Principal - Consulting Member Technical Staff

As a senior member database software engineering team, you will lead, innovate, influence, design, develop, and operate advanced features across cloud-native scale highly available distributed systems, database core engine, operating systems, and storage subsystems.

The position will leverage your expertise in the following (or related) areas:

• Database kernel development
• Query processing or Transaction Processing
• System software, including operating system kernels
• Cloud computing
• Distributed Systems Protocols
• Machine learning
• Computer architecture

As a senior member database software engineering team, you will lead, innovate, influence, design, develop, and operate advanced features across cloud-native scale highly available distributed systems, database core engine, operating systems, and storage subsystems. The responsibilities will include defining detailed design specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software.

• Experienced professionals with a PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering
• At least 10+ years of professional experience
• Strong deep technical knowledge on database core internals, proficiency in systems design and development
• Proficiency in developing large production quality code in C++/C in a multi-threaded environment, advanced data structures and algorithms
• Previous experience with MySQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, Aurora, Horizon DB, Alloy DB etc. is a BIG plus
• Demonstrated excellence in building and operating large scale and/or cloud native products and software services
• Excellent interpersonal and communication including writing & presentation skills,
• Ability to effectively collaborate across functional boundaries in a fast-paced agile development environment

• Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
• US:
  Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
