Job Description # Research Associate
* Maintain mammalian cell lines (e.g., HEK, A549, RPE‑1, Min‑6) following established protocols
* Perform routine cell culture tasks such as passaging, feeding, and monitoring cell health
* Seed and plate cells on various substrates, including cover slips and electron microscopy grids
* Prepare buffers, media, and help maintain lab supplies
* Assist with general wet‑lab duties and overall lab organization
* Work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth, continuous cell culture operations
* Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field
* At least 2 years of hands‑on mammalian cell culture experience
* Strong aseptic technique and sterile culture practices
* Experience maintaining mammalian cell lines
* Ability to plan ahead and deliver high‑quality samples on schedule
* Reliability and strong attention to detail
* Flexibility to work weekends and variable hours
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* Ability to work independently while coordinating with the team
* Experience with primary cells or human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) culture
* Familiarity with imaging workflows or sample preparation for microscopy, including cryo‑ET grid preparation
* Experience in academic or startup research environments
* Basic molecular biology skills (e.g., transfection, cell line generation)
