Medical Director – SAGE Redwood City

SAGE Redwood City is seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead a thriving, high‑volume hospital where you can make a meaningful impact on patient care and team development. This role is ideal for a confident, visionary leader ready to inspire a dynamic team, elevate clinical standards, and guide the hospital’s continued growth.

As Medical Director, you will balance strategic leadership with hands‑on clinical care. You will:

• Oversee medical standards, protocols, and quality initiatives
• Partner with the Hospital Director on operations, recruitment, and long‑term planning
• Work with the Assistant Medical Director to guide ER and specialty doctors while establishing new house officer and ER Immerse mentorship programs
• Drive positive change, support team development, and maintain a collaborative, accountable culture
• Strengthen relationships with referring veterinarians and the local community
• Duty split: ~75% administrative / ~25% clinical

4‑day workweek: 3 admin days and 1 clinical day

• DVM or equivalent; eligible for California licensure
• 5+ years of clinical experience in a multi‑specialty hospital with 2+ years in a leadership role
• Strong leadership skills with confidence in change management and addressing complex issues
