Salary: $70k - $90k per year

CNC Lathe/Swiss Screw machine programming and set‑up duties include:

• Program, set up and run machine jobs per standard methods as needed on various multi‑axis CNC lathes and screw machines, and deburr/detail part while machines are running.
• Produce good quality parts and tooling per work standard cycle times.
• Inspect quality and use standard work methods to ensure quality.
• Complete and sign Work Order / Travelers per policy. Never pass a defective part to the next team member.
• As needed, document the production process: setup, tool list, special operating instructions, and in‑process inspection documents.
• As required by manager/supervisor, optimize machine jobs by adjusting speeds and feeds on the machine.
• Complete setups and run first‑article parts.
• Demonstrate proper quality control measurement of machined parts.
• Be familiar with CNC machine G and M codes and adjust programs as needed.
• Be familiar with Mastercam CNC programming software (preferred).
• Train other personnel as required.
• Own the jobs on the floor. Work with operators and QA personnel.
• Always work to company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience operating lathe machines including programming and set‑ups.
• Strong attention to detail, good vision (see details of objects up close), good hand‑eye coordination.
• Ability to understand instructions and perform arithmetic calculations.
• Frequent mental and visual concentration required while waiting on machines to complete cycles, inspecting parts, etc.
• Requires constant attention to prevent injury to self and co‑workers and damage to equipment.
• Requires standing, repeated reaching and twisting, hand movement throughout entire shift.
• Professionalism, good work ethic, willingness to learn, quick learner; works well with others.
• Ability to read/listen carefully to follow instructions and procedures.
• Requires lifting and moving materials of up to 30 lbs.
• Works in an environment that may be uncomfortable, dusty, and loud; regularly exposed to moving metal/mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, solvent, alcohol, and water‑based coolant.
