Overview
City of Redwood City invites you to apply for the Casual Maintenance Custodian Assistant position (Job #25C-8, , Casual/Hourly). Under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor, the Casual Maintenance Custodian Assistant performs cleaning and care duties for assigned buildings and related facilities. The incumbent may travel between several City buildings during the scheduled shift. This recruitment is to fill a position designated to cover a night shift from 5 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., including weekends.
Shifts and schedules may vary and may include daytime shifts as needed. This is a non-benefited casual position. A casual employee may not work more than 1000 hours per fiscal year.

Responsibilities- Perform cleaning and care duties for assigned buildings and facilities as directed by the Custodial Supervisor.
- Travel between City buildings during the scheduled shift.
- Support night shift operations (5 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.) and weekends as required; shifts may vary and may include daytime shifts as needed.
Entry level position. No prior custodial experience required; ability to perform cleaning tasks and follow supervisor instructions.
