The Scientific and Technological Solutions team seeks a driven, intellectually curious member to bridge the gap between our analytical platform and the complex research questions of our clients.

This role is central to client success and adoption of the Tempus Data Platform, serving as the primary technical and scientific resource.

• Client Onboarding &
  
  Education:
  
  Lead the technical and scientific onboarding process for new clients.
• Scientific Problem Solving:
  Engage with researchers to understand scientific hypotheses and questions.
• Platform Guidance & Solutioning:
  Translate client needs into actionable steps on the platform, designing workflows, structuring queries, guiding complex dataset analysis.
• Technical Optimization:
  Implement solutions and workflow improvements to make the platform easy, efficient, and intuitive.
• Feedback Loop:
  Act as the client voice, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams.
• Documentation & Training:
  Create high‑quality technical documentation, tutorials, and training materials on platform features.

• Advanced Scientific Degree:
  Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Data Analysis Proficiency:
  Experience with large‑scale biomedical datasets.
• Technical Fluency:
  Hands‑on experience with R; additional proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP) is a bonus.
• Teamwork:
  Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Client‑Facing
  
  Experience:
  
  Excellent communication skills, explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Problem‑Solving Mindset:
  Strong track record in identifying inefficiencies and developing user‑friendly solutions.

• Experience in biotech, pharma, or healthcare technology.
• Familiarity with distributed computing and modern analytical platforms.
• Direct experience with oncology research.
• Experience with R package development and data science libraries.

Salary:
NYC/SF $90,000–$120,000 USD.
California $75,000–$110,000 USD (may vary by location). Additional benefits include incentive compensation, RSUs, medical, and more.
