About The Role:

We are partnering with a well-established organization operating in a manufacturing and distribution environment to identify a Senior Systems Engineer to support and modernize on-site IT operations. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for an experienced systems engineer who thrives in a campus-based setting and enjoys owning IT infrastructure end to end.

The Senior Systems Engineer will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing IT operations across a mixed office and manufacturing campus with approximately 300 devices. This position combines systems engineering, automation, device management, and physical infrastructure support.

The role begins with a short transition period working alongside an outgoing team member and will quickly evolve into serving as the primary on-site IT resource for the campus. You will collaborate with remote IT teams while maintaining strong ownership of local systems, users, and infrastructure.

• Manage, support, and optimize Windows-based systems across a ~300-device campus
• Administer SCCM and support the transition to Microsoft Intune
• Support Microsoft 365 services, including One Drive and Office 365
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation (Power Shell preferred) to improve efficiency
• Participate in system upgrades, IT modernization initiatives, and facility technology improvements
• Provide hands-on hardware support, cabling, and physical infrastructure setup
• Support both office users and manufacturing floor systems and workflows
• Troubleshoot technology issues unique to manufacturing and distribution environments
• Support a Cisco-based network, assisting with switches, Wi-Fi, and connectivity as needed
• Serve as the primary on-site IT owner after the initial transition period
• Maintain IT asset inventory, device lifecycle management, and hardware deployments
• Collaborate with remote IT teams on standards, projects, and escalations

Required

• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, ideally transitioning from desktop engineering to systems engineering
• Strong experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or plant-based IT environments
• Hands-on expertise with SCCM and working knowledge of Microsoft Intune
• Experience supporting Office 365 and One Drive
• Proficiency with scripting and automation (Power Shell strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with Cisco networking and ability to troubleshoot at a light-to-intermediate level
• Experience with hardware, cabling, and physical infrastructure support
• Ability to work independently as the primary on-site IT contact
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills

Preferred

• Experience supporting multi-site environments
• Previous involvement in facility, infrastructure, or technology upgrade projects
• Familiarity with distribution center or manufacturing workflows
