Overview

We design and develop Pulsed Electric Field Systems to achieve meaningful and lasting therapeutic outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Administration- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring timely and correct payment of salaries, hourly wages, bonuses, and other compensation.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, benefits deductions, and garnishments.
- Support off-cycle payrolls and routine payroll adjustments as needed.
- Reconcile payroll registers and payroll-related reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Partner with Finance and Accounting to support payroll accruals, reconciliations, audits, and month-end close.
- Act as a trusted payroll advisor to employees, managers, and HR partners, addressing complex payroll, tax, and deduction inquiries.
- Serve as the system owner for Rippling, ensuring data integrity while developing payroll procedures, implementing process improvements, and supporting payroll-related system projects.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Manage state withholding registrations, updates, and ongoing compliance for new and existing states.
- Administer state unemployment insurance (SUI) registrations, filings, rate notices, and audits.
- Coordinate with payroll vendors and tax agency
- Own workers’ compensation programs across all applicable states, including registrations, policy administration, renewals, and audits.
- Ensure accurate employee classification, wage reporting, and compliance with state-specific workers’ compensation requirements.
- Prepare, review, and submit workers’ compensation reports and audit materials.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for workers’ compensation carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including ownership of multi-state payroll operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing workers’ compensation, state withholding, and unemployment registrations and compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and tax compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) strongly preferred.
- Experience in a high-growth, multi-state, or remote-first organization.
- Deep familiarity with Rippling HRIS platform
This role pays between $110,000 and $120,000 per year
, and your actual base pay will depend on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
