- Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously; refers to each individual by name when appropriate.
- Performs initial assessment utilizing professional nursing knowledge and skills. Appropriately assess for: physical & psychosocial emotional needs, pain level, barriers to learning, educational learning needs, discharge needs, age-related needs, and issues related to assault or abuse.
- Contributes to unit and department problem solving and issue resolution.
- Communicates effectively and contributes to positive unit and interdepartmental relationships.
- Maintains a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance, wears prescribed departmental uniform and identification name badge.
- Arrives punctually and manages breaks and attendance appropriately.
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and one to two years of clinical nursing experience (as applicable at hire).
- The experience requirement is waived for new Grad Nurses selected for a New Grad Orientation program.
- Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire.
