Position: Patient Admin Specialist [207644]

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position

This is an on-site position. Work will be Monday – Friday. Shifts will be 8.5 hours long and can start between 6:45 AM and 9:30 AM
, and end between 3:15 PM and 6:00 PM
.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly and assisting with inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system, screening and routing calls, taking messages for clinical staff and providers, and ensuring timely communication.
  • Confirm patient verifications and authorizations are complete prior to appointments.
  • Liaise with providers to align on scheduling preferences and facilitate responses to urgent patient needs.
  • Offer comprehensive patient support using established reference documents and tools.
  • Execute diverse administrative tasks, including maintaining essential information databases and processing internal forms.
  • Proficiently utilize telephone systems and electronic medical records systems for all assigned duties.
  • Consistently meet or exceed organizational and departmental service standards.
  • Address non-clinical patient inquiries and messages, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Handle the management and distribution of faxes, mail, and clinic-specific documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to administrative functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service, solve problems efficiently, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong understanding of Windows-based office software, computers, and operating systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to adjust communication style to meet the needs and understanding of others.
  • Capacity to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations.
  • Strong customer service abilities, multitasking skills, and the capacity to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Compensation

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $28.25 to $39.79 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
