The Field Reimbursement Manager serves as the primary customer-facing expert on coverage, coding, prior authorization, and reimbursement supporting products from Galvanize Therapeutics. This role supports healthcare professionals, practice administrators, and billing teams by navigating payer policies, addressing reimbursement barriers, and ensuring timely patient access to therapy. The Field Reimbursement Manager acts as a strategic partner to both customers and internal commercial teams while maintaining strict compliance with all regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and manage field reimbursement for Galvanize Therapeutics working with the Market Access Team and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary field-based expert for reimbursement, coding, and coverage related to the company’s portfolio.
- Educate hospital administrators, billing managers, and healthcare providers on correct use of HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10 codes, modifiers, and documentation requirements.
- Support customers in navigating Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer coverage policies and prior-authorization requirements.
- Provide one-on-one and group training on prior authorization, claim submission, appeals, and payment processes.
- Conduct trainings for new and existing customers and track/report attendance.
- Deliver in-person and virtual reimbursement workshops and policy update sessions.
- Provide input and assist in developing reimbursement materials and tools for customers (Physicians, Coding Staff, Administrators, etc.) and the field sales team.
- Identify educational needs of priority accounts and use approved tools to deliver relevant training and education on coding, billing, and reimbursement.
- Develop a monthly report of provider activities, including regional trends and developments, to support quarterly updates to management.
- Identify, triage, and resolve access barriers in collaboration with internal reimbursement support teams.
- Monitor and communicate payer landscape changes to hospitals.
- Update/develop payer coverage policies on Galvanize Therapeutics products.
- Monitor and analyze public and private payer activities and trends, including coverage, coding and payment policies affecting Galvanize Therapeutics emerging and commercially marketed products at the nation and local/regional level with respect to patient access and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate coverage policy developments that impact both the short- and long-term reimbursement success of Galvanize Therapeutics products and associated procedures to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Translate policy developments into meaningful guidance and strategic advice.
- Maintain strong knowledge of health care policy activity regionally, interpret for business impact and participate in cross-functional projects internally or externally to influence and enhance position within changing environment.
- Help build relationships in key markets with government, physician, hospital and third-party payer decision makers.
- Develop strong relationships with customers, hospital administrators, billing leads, and payer representatives to create reimbursement successes and champions who will support Galvanize Therapeutics with payer organizations.
- Develop and implement tools and processes to clearly communicate how reimbursement and economic considerations affect business plans and strategies in business units and region.
- Execute and maintain centralized resources, i.e., coding guide(s) and other reimbursement and health economic resources, to assist with standardized reimbursement communications and/or policy communications.
