Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist supports payroll operations across the U.S. and Latin America, ensuring accurate processing, strong compliance, and timely resolution of employee inquiries. This role leads the semimonthly U.S. payroll analysis, partners with internal teams and external payroll vendors, and maintains high standards of data integrity, audit readiness, and process control across ADP, SAP, and multiple country workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the semimonthly payroll analysis and review for the U.S.
  • Process Leave of Absence (LOA) payments in ADP
  • Ensure payroll practices and reporting comply with local, state, and federal laws
  • Process wage garnishments, child support orders, and subpoenas within required legal timelines
  • Prepare payroll templates and coordinate payroll inputs for Brazil and Mexico
  • Support employees in resolving payroll‑related inquiries
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Support SOX, internal controls, and statutory audits related to payroll
  • Assist with and provide backup coverage for Canadian payroll
  • Maintain and update time‑off and attendance data in SAP for the U.S. and Latin America
  • Reconcile PTO balances across ADP and SAP, ensuring alignment and data accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure integrity and alignment of payroll and HRIS data across systems
  • Participate in departmental projects and perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • BA in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Proficiency in Excel required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 3+ years of multistate payroll experience in a medium‑sized company
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

  • Hybrid schedule: one or two days onsite.

The wage range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors in determining your pay. We’ll consider your location, experience, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The wage disclosure has not been adjusted for applicable geographic differentials associated with the location at which this position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current base wage range for this role is $80,000 – $115,000.

In addition to the base compensation, certain roles are eligible for additional compensation, including an annual bonus or sales incentive based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. Benefits/perks listed here may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Check Point Software Technologies and the country/state where you work.
