Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Redwood City, California. This role involves a combination of accounting and administrative responsibilities, supporting a small finance team with critical tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. This project is 2-3 weeks in duration and requires onsite work.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable transactions, including posting invoices and managing receipts.

- Handle accounts receivable functions, such as updating payments and posting cash.

- Scan and organize financial documents into the system for accurate record-keeping.

- Collect and verify receipts to ensure compliance with company policies.

- Perform data entry tasks with precision to maintain accurate financial records.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the finance department.

- Assist in resolving discrepancies related to invoices or payments.

- Support HR-related administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.

- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Knowledge of Oracle or similar accounting systems is preferred.

- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.
