Volunteer and Partner Worker

Pay: £13.26 per hour

Coastline’s Homeless Service is passionate about breaking down stigma and barriers to the people we support. We provide crisis accommodation, a community hub for people experiencing homelessness, supported accommodation, accommodation for families, move on and outreach support, and a dedicated harm reduction/activities and inclusion team.

We strive to not only deliver a quality service to each individual, but ensure every interaction matters.

The successful candidate will provide support to the whole Homeless Service as part of the Activities and Inclusion team. They will support and supervise (in conjunction with the Volunteer Manager) internal and external volunteers in line with the Investing in Volunteers standards to deliver activities/group work to residents who have a history of experiencing homelessness. You would be joining a multi-disciplinary team where the focus is on team work that provides an exemplary service to the individuals we support.

This includes supporting the delivery of activities, courses and other teams within the homeless service. If you take a coaching approach to supporting individuals, have motivation and enthusiasm for the outdoors and the local community, are able to self-manage your time and prioritise your workload, and proficient in IT please send through your CV and a covering letter for consideration.

The hours for this post are on a rolling two weekly rota:

Week 1:
Saturday – 8:30am – 4:30pm, Sunday – 9am – 4:30pm, Monday – D/O, Tuesday – D/O, Wednesday – 9am – 4pm, Thursday – 9am – 4pm, Friday – 9am – 4pm

Week 2: D/O, Sunday – D/O, Monday – 9am – 4pm, Tuesday 9am – 4pm, Wednesday – 9am – 4pm, Thursday – 9am – 4pm, Friday – D/O

Due to this role being a specialist role, there is a requirement to take part in an on‑call rota, and to also in the absence of a lead at the weekend, being a responsible decision maker and go to person for the team.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS.
