Our Shift Managers know how to work at pace and regardless of which department they work in, they all have the same goal – to deliver great food to our customers. Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management and guidance of the technical team across all departments, ensuring the team complies with Morrisons Manufacturing/site technical standards and procedures under the guidance of the Site Technical Manager.
Other tasks will include:
- Delivering food safety, legality, quality and integrity for all our customers and brands while ensuring that all designated procedures and practices comply with legal, BRC and MMS requirements.
- Investigating and reporting adverse microbiological results.
- Managing product information through M‑create portal.
- Responsibility for the site HACCP Plan.
- Supporting and advising colleagues on technical issues.
- Developing, implementing and ensuring compliance with technical policies and procedures applicable to the site.
- Consistently and proactively managing site trends and risks.
- Playing an active role in achieving site accreditations where applicable.
- Managing the site internal audit process and site process validations, while maintaining and managing site document control.
- Collating site information for reports weekly, monthly and yearly.

About You- Relevant experience or a degree in science, food technology, chemistry, microbiology, engineering, manufacturing or business.
- Knowledge of safety, legality, compliance and quality across the supply chain and produce range.
- Previous experience/knowledge of high risk coupled with thermal processing knowledge/experience.
- Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a solution‑focused problem‑solver.
- A proven track record of people management and delivering strong results through a team.
- A can‑do attitude and a strong work ethic.
