OverviewCornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an experienced Specialty Doctor to work within the West area of the county's Integrated Care Areas (ICA). Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) provide assessment and treatment for adults with serious mental disorders. This role supports close primary care interface working as part of mental health transformation.
Main duties of the job- Act as a senior psychiatrist for people aged 18 and over referred from within the allocated catchment area, in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Provide outpatient services within the catchment area, including a blend of face-to-face clinic reviews, home visits, and use of telephone and video consultation tools.
- Attend CMHT multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss new referrals and caseloads; contribute to formulation and management of complex cases; support team members.
- Maintain close working relationships with inpatient services, Home Treatment Team, and other community teams to improve patient care at interfaces.
- Increase ties with primary care to provide advice and liaison as part of the current transformation program.

Person specificationEssential criteria and desirable criteria are described in the attached documents. The post requires:
- Completed Core Training or equivalent in Psychiatry (essential).
- Competency for Special Doctor:
Qualified and trained in Psychiatry (essential). - Desirable criteria include CCT training in HEE UK, and other related training milestones.
