As an Operations Generalist you will ensure our merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using Petco processes. You will maintain efficient operations to meet the needs of guests and their pets, working the truck, stocking shelves, cleaning the center, operating the cash register and providing an excellent experience for each guest.

• Maintain and inventory Pet Care Center across the entire location.
• Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced and displayed to create a great presentation for guests.
• Process register transactions in a way that creates a great experience for each guest.
• Support guest interactions using the selling model as needed.
• Support animal care procedures to maintain pet health.
• Complete training programs and maintain a high level of expertise in the role.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion and collaboration.
• Adhere to established operational guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.

• Minimum high school diploma (or GED) or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in mathematics and above average communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor with a keen interest in animals and their care.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact with the public and partners.

In addition to a high school diploma or its equivalent, an applicant must demonstrate proficiency in mathematics, basic accounting relationships and exhibit exceptional communication skills.

The majority of duties are conducted indoors, with occasional merchandise receiving or stock balancing requiring brief time outside. This position requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise (up to 50 pounds), and standing for long periods of time; risk of injury may occur if procedures are not followed. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00
