Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Experimental Machinist to join our advanced manufacturing team. This role involves operating multi-axis machining centers, creating CNC programs, and producing complex components with precision. The ideal candidate will have strong programming capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a highly technical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Create machine programs using Mastercam
- Perform conventional machining as needed
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and process plans
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, machinists, and team leads
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety in all machining operations
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of CNC programming and machining experience
- Strong proficiency with Mastercam for 3-axis and 5-axis programming
- Prior experience operating Haas CNC machines
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
, including eligibility for special access requirements - Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as required
- 10+ years of related CNC machining experience
- Experience operating Mazak CNC machines
- Ability to operate EDM and Plunge/Sinker machines
- Active Secret Security Clearance with eligibility for specialized access programs
This is a Contract position based out of Redondo Beach, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 – $39.00/hr.
