Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Industrial Security Director - Level 1, to join our Space Superiority Division. We will consider the following major Space sector locations:
Dulles, VA
; Gilbert, AZ
; Linthicum, MD
; or Redondo Beach, CA

- Continuously assess needs; develop, implement, and monitor program security strategy for programs within the SSD Division.
- Collaborate with other Northrop Grumman security personnel and sectors for uniform policy and consistency.
- Build strong relationships and partner closely with senior leadership, especially within the security and information technology organizations and across the Northrop Grumman enterprise.
- Promote strategic relationships between internal resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations.
- Engage in special programs best‑practice sharing with peer organizations and executive briefings.
- Develop the division’s security team to grow to its next level of maturity and scalability.
- Recruit, train, and retain a world‑class security team with particular focus on building a bench of best‑in‑class special programs leaders for the future.
- Create energy and enthusiasm at all levels.
- Work collaboratively with the various operating units to understand security issues, negative trends, and/or compliance challenges and, when required, interact with the government on behalf of the division to address issues.
- Be accountable for ensuring that overall budgets, schedules, and performance standards are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Senior‑level understanding of customers’ security structure.
- Exceptional communication skills required to advise and influence senior management and government officials.
- Strategic leader who can drive a vision while maintaining an execution‑oriented culture, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a hands‑on approach.
- Strong influencing skills to get things done; collaborative approach with the ability to partner with business leaders across the enterprise to overcome institutional resistance and achieve transformational change.
- Proponent of continuous improvement and the ability to challenge the status quo.
- Accountability for providing a special programs strategy and implementation aligned to government customer expectations and business objectives.
- Skills to provide insights to sector senior stakeholders.
