Banquet Server – Sonesta International Hotels

The duties and responsibilities of a Banquet Server are to provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire event process to ensure the highest standard of customer satisfaction.

• Assist with the complete set‑up and breakdown of the banquet area.
• Relay food and beverage orders.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑shift side‑work such as setting up condiments.
• Properly store all reusable goods.
• Clear tables after service; remove trays of dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
• Maintain composure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relay important information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate person.
• Respond to guest inquiries and special requests promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction; notify supervisor of complaints or unusual situations.
• Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
• Present a professional appearance and mannerisms.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with set‑up and breakdown of a function space and plating of meals.

Pay Range: $18.00–$19.50 per hour. Base pay may vary based on experience.
