McLean VA;
Dulles VA;
Redondo Beach CA;
Chandler AZ; or, Aurora CO. We may consider other major Northrop Grumman space sector locations. In this job, you will:
* Oversee development and maintenance of the sector's historical cost and technical database.

* Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and ensure data integrity, while delivering to the project objectives.

* Collect, normalize, and analyze data from internal and external sources.

* Produce data visualizations and relational analyses to support decision-making.

* Generate business-ready metrics and insights through statistical and regression analysis.

* Support cost-studies by delivering analytical results and actionable recommendations.

* Understand drivers in proprietary and commercial parametric models.

* Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of professional experience in cost modeling and/or data engineering - OR - Master's degree with 1+ year of professional experience in cost modeling and/or data engineering.

* Database design/SQL experience.

* Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of functions and people.

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

* An active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.

* STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree preferred.

* Demonstrated experience in business management and labor and non-labor cost estimating.

* Experience working in space systems programs.

* Experience with parametric estimating techniques and principles.
