Software Development Engineer - Automation (Type Script / Playwright)

Software Development Engineer - Automation to support Amazon's Project Kuiper eCommerce and provisioning platforms. This role combines strong software engineering fundamentals with advanced automation design to validate mission-critical order-to-cash and ISP workflows. You will build scalable automation frameworks, integrate CI/CD pipelines, and partner with platform teams to ensure reliability and quality across Kuiper systems.

This role combines strong software engineering fundamentals with advanced automation design to validate mission-critical order-to-cash and ISP workflows. You will build scalable automation frameworks, integrate CI/CD pipelines, and partner with platform teams to ensure reliability and quality across Kuiper systems.

• Design and develop automation frameworks using Type Script and Playwright
• Build automated tests for UI and API-based systems
• Develop components, services, and data models supporting automation
• Collaborate with satellite, network, and security engineering teams
• Translate complex finance, legal, and tax requirements into testable automation
• Build CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and system health dashboards
• Troubleshoot failures and improve long‑term system reliability

• 4+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship)
• 3+ years of experience in system design and architecture
• Strong experience with Type Script and Playwright
• Experience designing REST APIs and working with JSON
• Hands‑on AWS experience and cloud‑native development skills
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and frameworks

• Experience with AWS services such as Dynamo
  
  DB, Step Functions, ECS
• 3+ years working across the full SDLC (design through operations)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience

  Long‑term contract (W-2 ONLY)
• Pay Rate: $100/hour (Max), Negotiate Do Not Auto Max
• Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card - ONLY

Duration: 12 months, can be extended (could be long-term project)

• The first few months will require at least 5 days per week onsite before transitioning to a hybrid model. This role is not remote.

  This is a requirement from Client because candidates without it tend to struggle.
• Order to Cash:
  This role requires management experience.
• Kuiper experience is a MUST - has to be a solid amount of experience, not months - little amount of experience they will struggle.
