Software Development Engineer II

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Software Development Engineer II in Redmond, WA.

Summary:

The Software Development Engineer will join our Network Engineering team and help build the tools and systems that keep our network infrastructure running y will develop automation solutions using Python, Java, and Type Script to improve network reliability, reduce manual toil, and accelerate deployments. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with network development engineers to solve real operational challenges.

Duties:

* Build and maintain network automation tools and services using Python, Java, and Type Script

* Develop APIs and workflows that automate network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring

* Troubleshoot and debug complex network systems and automation pipelines

* Create dashboards and alerting to monitor network health and automation reliability

* Collaborate with network engineers to translate operational needs into software solutions

* Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and on-call rotations

* Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate development and identify automation opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science

* Fundamentals in computer science: object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

* Proficiency in Python, Java, or Type Script

* Experience with front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, and Java Script

* Knowledge of Linux fundamentals

* Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, or experience working directly with customers during problem resolution under pressure

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
