Software Design Engineer

This is a 5-6 month contract, hybrid in Redmond, WA with 3-4 days onsite required. There is currently no opportunity for extension. Aquent is partnering with a pioneering technology company at the forefront of innovation, shaping the future of digital experiences and security. As a pivotal contributor, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing robust hardware security solutions, directly impacting the integrity and trustworthiness of next‑generation devices. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding user data and ensuring the reliability of technology used by millions worldwide.

Participate in daily sprint execution and update meetings. Write code, develop firmware/software for boot components of Windows, implement security software of the TPM driver, and test OS components on the Microsoft Pluton chipset. Write and understand crypto code.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in software development.
• 5+ years of experience in Security (hardware security, boot security, TPM, trusted platform security).
• 5+ years of experience in Crypto (encryption & decryption software development).
• 5+ years of experience in low‑level Windows firmware and driver understanding.
• 1+ year of experience with Rust.
