Software Development Engineer

Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Software Development Engineer 1 to join their team. As a Software Development Engineer 1, you will be part of the Data Science and Engineering department supporting telemetry compliance and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have strong coding skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Software Development Engineer 1

Redmond, WA (Hybrid)

• Review and provide feedback on telemetry design documents and artifacts to ensure adherence to standards
• Interpret JavaScript product code instrumentation for debugging and whitebox testing
• Validate telemetry output conformance from applications and track issues for developers
• Develop automated telemetry validation and issue monitoring tools to streamline testing processes
• Collaborate with data teams to onboard new telemetry schemas into analytics systems and ensure accuracy

• Proficiency in feature UI testing and experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook
• Strong coding skills in JavaScript, Type Script, C#, Java, or Python (at least 2 years of experience)
• Experience working with application logs, telemetry, and querying data using SQL or SCOPE scripting
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to work
