Agility Partners is seeking a qualified SQL Performance Software Engineer to fill an open position with a Fortune 15 company based in the greater Seattle area. This role focuses on validating SQL performance across new hardware platforms and software releases, identifying regressions, and ensuring long-term performance stability. The engineer will work closely with senior performance engineers and developers to diagnose issues, analyze results, and maintain high-quality performance benchmarks.
Responsibilities- Execute SQL performance tests on new hardware and software releases to detect regressions and performance variances
- Analyze performance results, generate reports, and provide clear insights into bottlenecks or stability concerns
- Develop and maintain scripts and tooling using C, C#, and Power Shell to support automation and diagnostics
- Collaborate in daily scrum meetings to provide updates, surface blockers, and align on next testing priorities
- 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering or performance testing
- 2+ years of experience programming in C, C#, and/or Power Shell
- 2+ years of experience working with Windows operating systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret performance data
- Experience running tests, identifying regressions, and documenting findings
- Ability to follow structured processes and collaborate effectively within an engineering team
