Senior Software Engineer – Infra Engineering & Security (Halo)
Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid – 3+ Days Onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 months with potential extension
Pay Rate: $50-55/hr (W2)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week

About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Infra Engineering & Security team supporting the legendary Halo franchise. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in maintaining and enhancing the development infrastructure that powers Halo. You’ll work closely with developers, content creators, and technical artists to improve engine stability, data validation workflows, and test automation systems.
This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to one of the most iconic titles in gaming while collaborating with a forward-thinking, highly skilled team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve and maintain data validation systems to support asset and content development
- Implement telemetry and observability tools to monitor validation performance
- Integrate Unreal Engine service releases and assist with major version upgrades
- Investigate and resolve issues related to Unreal integrations and automated test failures
- Expand test coverage and maintain CI pipelines to ensure engine stability
- Work cross-functionally with engineers and technical artists to improve workflows
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in C++ software development
- 5+ years working with Unreal Engine (UE4 or UE5)
- Experience writing efficient and scalable unit tests
- Solid understanding of CI/CD workflows and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops)
- Familiarity with Perforce or similar version control systems
- Excellent debugging, performance optimization, and root cause analysis skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Unreal test frameworks like Gauntlet
- Familiarity with profiling tools such as PIX or Unreal Profiler
- Experience working in a game studio or high-performance engineering environment
