About the roleIn this role, you will perform general preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repair of commercial HVAC equipment, buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds within our Global Tech clients' commercial site. Working under close supervision, the technician assists in monitoring building system operations and performance. This versatile role requires the application of several fundamental trade skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, and heating and cooling system maintenance.
Responsibilities- Performs assigned day‑to‑day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance, and completes maintenance and repair records as required.
- Reviews assigned work orders, estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs, and orders vital materials and supplies.
- Assists with solving and repairs of buildings and installed systems such as plumbing systems, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
- Inspects new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
- Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
- Responds quickly to emergency situations and summons additional assistance as required.
- High school diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training. 1‑3 years of refrigeration/HVAC maintenance experience.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos, ask clarifying questions, write routine reports and correspondence, and respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co‑workers, and/or supervisors.
- Uses personal computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training; basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Makes decisions with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines; errors in judgment may cause short‑term impact to co‑workers and supervisors.

The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $30.29 hourly and the maximum salary is $33.65 hourly.
