Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.
Payrate: $28.50 Per Hour
Unarmed Security Professionals working as uniformed security officers at Client locations shall:
- Be a minimum age of 21 years old.
- Be a citizen of the United States of America and possess one of the following:
- U.S. Passport
- Certified copy of U.S. birth certificate
- Certified copy of Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) (Form FS-240)
- Certificate of U.S. Citizenship (Form N-560 or N-561)
- Certificate of U.S. Naturalization (Form N-550 or N-570)
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- Minimum of two (2) years of previous security experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian)
- Verifiable work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting field
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent degree.
- Possess a current and valid security credential or license, as required by federal, state, and local laws and statutes.
- Possess a valid CPR/First Aid/AED certification. (or completion within 90 days of assignment)
- Successfully complete a Criminal Background Check
- Have no record of previous felony convictions.
- Successfully complete a 10 panel drug screen (or as applicable by local or state law).
- Be able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
- Possess a current motor vehicle driver's license if position requires operation of motor vehicle or operating a vehicle of any type.
- Officers shall meet the physical capability and be in general good health necessary to perform assigned duties, including prolonged standing, patrol requirements, emergency response tasks, and use of security equipment
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
