Dietary Aide/Server – Part Time at Emerald Heights
Base pay range: $20.00/hr – $21.00/hr
Emerald Heights is a 5‑star retirement community located in Redmond, Washington, dedicated to providing the best senior living experience in the Puget Sound area. We offer a full continuum of care from independent living to assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care.
The Dietary Aide is responsible for meal service in our Health Center dining rooms. Dietary Aides will serve in any one of our dining areas – Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, or Memory Care – and are expected to cross‑train to serve in all three areas.

Schedule
: 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm, Monday‑Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. Pay ranges from $19.10 – $21.00/hr.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Provide residents and guests with exceptional customer service, greeting them warmly and respectfully
- Take resident and guest meal and drink orders, submit to kitchen, and deliver in a timely manner
- Prepare and deliver hall trays for residents as needed
- Maintain knowledge of physician‑prescribed diets and menu items
- Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in the dining room, kitchen, and workstations
- Complete all assigned cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Monitor tables during meal service and respond to resident needs or requests
- Follow proper food handling techniques and quality standards for all dining areas
- Have knowledge of therapeutic and textured modified diets
- Comply with all in‑service trainings and work‑related education
- Will willing to be trained with a POS system as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Active Food Handler’s card or ability to obtain one
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Courteous, gracious, tactful, and service‑oriented
- Genuine interest in working with older adults
- Team‑oriented and works well with others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Neat and professional appearance, and willingness to maintain dress code
- Available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular, dependable, and reliable attendance
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
