Location Requirements: 100% remote, but candidates must live in the Seattle area for potential occasional onsite work.

Pay Rate Range: $55-$60

* Full‑time experience as a UX Researcher delivering clear, actionable research in fast‑paced environments.

* Experience working with AI technologies (LLM or generative AI tools).

* Mixed‑methods research expertise, with experience running UX benchmark studies, competitive research, or comparable work.

* Experience using remote UX research platforms and tools.

* Education:

* Master's preferred

* Bachelor's required (HCDE, Psychology, Statistics, Data Science preferred; Philosophy, Math, or similar considered with relevant work experience)

Typical Day in the Role

Purpose of the Team

This UX Research team focuses on evaluating and improving user experience for productivity and AI‑driven features within a large software product ecosystem.

Key Projects

This role supports UX research for spreadsheet and AI‑assistant experiences.

Responsibilities include:

* Partnering with external research vendors for participant screening and recruitment.

* Running rapid research studies across both short‑term and longer‑term projects.

* Building and managing a pipeline of UX research to ensure studies are executed efficiently and at scale.

Candidate Requirements

* Sufficient degree or experience

* Background in HCDE, Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, or related field

* Mixed‑methods experience or inadequate UX benchmarking experience

* Strong statistical skills

* Experience with remote UX research tools

* Sufficient collaboration or problem‑solving abilities

* Strong performance in behavioral interviews

* Candidates who are not quantitative‑only and can interpret qualitative findings

* Candidates who are not qualitative‑only and have quantitative experience

* Comfortable with fast‑paced, ambiguous work environments

* Experience with or interest in AI tools

Best vs. Average Candidates

Top candidates will demonstrate strong mixed‑methods capabilities, direct UX benchmarking experience, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and strong stakeholder collaboration skills across functions.

Responsibilities

Research Execution & Project Management

* Manage and execute multiple concurrent research projects evaluating task performance and user experience for spreadsheet and AI assistant tools.

Generative & Evaluative Research

* Conduct rapid qualitative and mixed‑methods research to generate insights.

Data Analysis & Synthesis

* Analyze varied data sources and synthesize findings into clear, visually compelling, actionable reports.

Cross‑Team Coordination

* Collaborate with research partners, product teams, vendors, panel managers, and research operations.

Hands‑On Research Duties

* Study design

* Benchmark evaluations

* Data analysis and reporting

Rapid Insight & Output Generation

* Deliver quick, high‑impact insights

* Produce videos, documents, and presentations summarizing findings

Required Skills & Experience

* Advanced degree in Engineering, Social Science, or other research‑focused field

* Strong track record designing and executing mixed‑methods UX research

* Excellent project management and organizational skills

* Strong written and verbal communication, able to influence decisions with data

* Proficiency in qualitative methods, synthesis, and insight communication

* 6+ months experience researching generative AI / LLM technologies

* Ability to translate ideas and needs into rigorous research questions

Preferred Skills & Experience

* Advanced degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or related fields

* Experience conducting user research on AI, especially generative AI or large language models
