Overview
Smart Hire is looking for a Quality Supervisor for a client in Redmond WA. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Supervisory experience within a cGMP environment (food or similar), FSSC 22000 and a food safety guidelines. Strong analytical, root cause analysis knowledge and problem solving skills needed. This is a Full Time, Direct Hire role.
$80k-$85k DOE + annual bonus

Quality SupervisorThe Quality Supervisor leads the Quality Assurance team in Washington and reports to the Global Quality Director. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System and Food Safety Plans while driving continuous improvement and day-to-day QA execution. The Quality Supervisor partners closely with plant leadership and serves as the primary contact for audits, inspections, and quality investigations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support QA team daily operations
- Ensure compliance with QMS, Food Safety Plans, and regulatory requirements
- Serve as PCQI and lead food safety programs
- Review and approve batch records and manufacturing documentation
- Oversee material disposition and quality testing activities
- Lead audit readiness, audits, and inspection responses
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Manage change controls, SOPs, and quality training
- Monitor quality metrics and report to leadership
- Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in a cGMP-regulated environment (food, ingredients, or similar)
- 2+years in a supervisory role within similar industry
- Experience with ISO 22000 audits and food safety systems
- Experience with leading changes
- Experience with root cause analysis on the floor vs lab
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels
- Experience with MS Office and QMS systems
- Experience with SharePoint a plus
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Able to pass background check
- Able to work in a manufacturing environment (standing, lifting, noise, PPE)
