Job Description
As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for our accelerometer production line. This position requires engineering acumen, project management, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive continuous improvements in manufacturing capabilities while ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize costs in the production of accelerometers.
- Utilize principles of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to analyze and improve production line performance.
- Conduct tool and process capability studies to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and coordinate projects related to process improvements, new product introductions, and equipment installations.
- Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely and successful execution.
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing issues as they arise, and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing team during production runs, troubleshooting technical issues related to equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and modifications of existing products.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, manufacturing process flowcharts, and process control plans.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams including design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to drive optimal solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability, production readiness, and cost analysis.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the manufacturing team.
- Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing process development and continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and process optimization techniques.
- Project management skills with experience in leading cross‑functional teams and managing project timelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- U.S. person; candidate must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
- Competitive salary ranging from $92,900 to $116,200.
