Position: Attorney 1

Overview

Talent Software Services is in search of an Attorney for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be seven months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Responsibilities
  • Support legal proceedings by conducting research, investigating facts, and preparing legal documents; review non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings.
  • Contribute to high-volume U.S. business immigration operations, including petition review, I-9, email response support, and ensuring legal compliance with daily filings.
  • Utilize U.S. immigration legal knowledge to meet daily workflow targets and maintain the integrity of onsite case preparation programs.
  • Train administrators on USCIS filings, document processing, and PERM postings; assist with daily administrative questions and review work products to ensure legal accuracy and quality.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and resolution for legal and operational issues; identify and propose legal process improvements to enhance quality, employee experience, and workflow efficiency.
  • Complete remote and onsite legal reviews of filings; address legal questions related to I-9 completion and E-Verify; support complex E-Verify issue resolution.
  • Train and monitor administrators who support I-9 reverification; assist managers in understanding PERM requirements and obligations during applicant review.
  • Respond to emails from visa-dependent employees on topics including visa and green card eligibility, travel, and maintenance of status.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or law degree from a credible university; admission to the bar.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in immigration (business or family-based) and in the field.
  • Ability to support complex E-Verify issue resolution; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with company tools and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High-volume immigration experience is preferred.
