Systems Administrator

Our client, a leading organization in the research and technology sector, is seeking a Systems Administrator 2 to join their team. As a Systems Administrator 2, you will be part of the HPC Platform Engineering team supporting research computing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:
Redmond, WA - Hybrid (2‑3 days)

Pay Range:$34.93 - $38.47 on Experis W2 (Benefits/401k/PTO)

• Build, deploy, and maintain high‑performance computing (HPC) cluster infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking components
• Develop and operate automation tools for cluster deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management
• Diagnose and resolve platform‑level issues impacting reliability, performance, or workload execution
• Participate in the full Dev Ops lifecycle, including code development, review, testing, and production operations
• Validate HPC platforms for readiness, security compliance, and internal customer use

• Hands‑on Linux systems administration experience, proficient with the Linux terminal
• Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform
• Knowledge of distributed, multi‑user systems, networking, and storage concepts in large‑scale Linux environments
• Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
