Summary:
We are looking for a talented and driven Computer Vision Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in 2D image processing, 3D geometry, and bundle adjustment, along with a strong foundation in data collection and statistical analysis. In this role, you will design, develop, and validate computer vision algorithms that support sensor calibration and enable advanced machine perception capabilities.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to define data acquisition strategies, debug and test algorithms, and present findings to stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust computer vision algorithms tailored to specific project requirements.
- Define and manage data collection strategies to support algorithm development.
- Validate algorithms using statistical analysis and simulation/test datasets.
- Debug and optimize algorithms to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Develop geometric calibration algorithms, including:
- Inertial measurement unit (IMU) calibration
- Calibration for other sensor types
- Implement real-time algorithms using C++.
- Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and data scientists to integrate solutions.
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of computer vision applications—from design to deployment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Hands-on experience with:
- 2D image processing
- Bundle adjustment
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Must-Have Skills:
- Software Development Fundamentals – Strong understanding of design, development, testing, and deployment practices.
- Analytical Thinking – Ability to solve complex problems with effective, data-driven solutions.
- Collaboration & Communication – Proven ability to work across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Python Proficiency – Solid experience with Python for algorithm development and data analysis.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Additional Programming Languages – Experience with C++, VR, or other relevant languages.
- Development Tools – Familiarity with tools like SQL or Visual Basic.
- Leadership – Experience mentoring or leading teams (not required for all roles).
