Crowd Strike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a sensor (a driver installed on client machines) that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, provides on-box prevention, and transmits telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The sensor processes thousands of events per second to deliver deep endpoint visibility and perform correlation and computation to identify and block malicious activity.

The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry per customer network, correlates malicious behavior across machines, and presents a prioritized summary of threats to the customer’s operations teams.

This is a Sr. Engineering Manager role in the CTIO team that delivers cutting-edge innovation for the sensor across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Responsibilities include ownership over major components and development projects, as well as training and growing the team. You will assist with architecting solutions and supporting the implementation of core features. Features will cross-cut core OS subsystems (file system, memory and process, networking) and may share components across platforms.

You will lead projects efficiently, maximize performance, and minimize costs while ensuring high design, coding quality, and unit/component testing standards.

The CTIO team defines and executes Crowd Strike’s technology vision and strategy, driving innovation and overseeing the Falcon platform’s evolution. The CTIO fosters engineering excellence, aligns technical capabilities with business objectives, and anticipates threats and market trends.

Note: This is a hybrid role based out of Redmond, WA;
Sunnyvale, CA; or Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the office at least 2 days per week.

• Collaborate with sensor development teams across the company on architecture and strategic initiatives.
• Conceptualize and develop new product features.
• Provide guidance and support to development teams in designing and implementing software for cross‑platform delivery (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Take ownership of features throughout the entire lifecycle, including presenting product demonstrations at the end of each sprint.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with teams in various locations.

• General knowledge and understanding of C++ and Windows/macOS/Linux operating system internals
• Experience shipping major features and releases with teams
• Previous experience as a Sr. Manager or Engineering Manager with direct reports
• Ability to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team

• Strong background in scalable, lightweight, high-performance systems
• OS system expertise for core concepts and subsystems
• Familiarity with Agile process
• Knowledge and expertise in the security landscape
