Overview
Join Swedish Medical Group as an Endoscopic Technician for Outpatient Surgery. Under the direction of a Charge RN, you will prepare all equipment for endoscopic procedures, clean and disinfect instruments, track repairs, and assist in all Endoscopic procedures at the Ambulatory Surgery Center. You must demonstrate knowledge of aseptic techniques and quality assurance activities related to infection control and disinfection/sterilization of endoscopic equipment.
Responsibilities• Prepare endoscopic equipment for procedures.
• Clean and disinfect endoscopic instruments using appropriate protocols.
• Track repairs and prepare equipment for repair.
• Assist in all endoscopic procedures performed in the Ambulatory Surgery Center.
• Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and infection control.
- Completion of a Surgical Technology, Anesthesia Technologist, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Medical Assistant program.
- Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License or Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire, or Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification by the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire, or National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor certification by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.
- 6 months of healthcare experience.
- 1 year of scope processing, scheduling procedures, computer data entry, and assisting in the procedure room.

The wage range for this position is $24.82 – $37.98.
