Under the direction of a Charge RN, prepares all equipment for endoscopic procedures, cleans equipment properly using appropriate protocols and procedures, prepares equipment for repair and tracks repairs, and assists in all Endoscopic procedures for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Accountable for demonstrating knowledge of principles and practice of aseptic techniques, and all Quality assurance activities related to infection control and disinfection/sterilization of endoscopic equipment.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training:
  Completion of a Surgical Technology, Anesthesia Technologist, Certified Nurse Assistant or Medical Assistant program.
• Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire. Or
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire. Or
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire. Or
• National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.
• 6 months of Healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of Scope processing, scheduling procedures, computer data entry, and assisting in the procedure room.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
