Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Technical Instructional Designer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, performance-based e-learning for critical operational roles, particularly data center technicians. This role partners closely with technical SMEs, learning program managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, engaging, and accessible learning solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive creator with strong technical communication skills and advanced proficiency in modern e-learning and multimedia tools.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct instructional needs assessments, learner, task, and context analyses
- Design and develop performance-based e-learning curricula and courses
- Collaborate with SMEs, clients, and development teams to translate technical content into effective learning experiences
- Build advanced, interactive e-learning using Articulate Storyline and Rise, including branching logic
- Create and edit multimedia assets using Adobe Creative Suite (including Premiere Pro)
- Ensure learning content meets accessibility and instructional design standards
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Contribute to strategic initiatives such as AI-enabled learning and workflow-based training
- Instructional Design: 5+ years (needs assessment, analysis, design methodologies)
- Articulate Storyline & Rise: 3+ years (advanced interactions and branching)
- Adobe Creative Suite / Premiere Pro: 3+ years
- Cross-functional collaboration:
3+ years - Technical writing & editing: 3–5 years
- MS Office: 3–5 years
- Experience working with SMEs, clients, and development teams on learning programs
- Degree in Instructional Design or related field
- Experience with AI platforms or 3D modeling
- Prior data center or technical operations instructional experience
- Advanced Articulate Storyline expertise (complex logic, visuals)
- Strong grounding in instructional design frameworks and methodologies
- Part of the CO+I Learning organization
- Works closely with Integrated Learning Program Managers, Instructional Designers, and technical SMEs
- Supports learning for data center and operational support teams
