Overview
Purpose of the Team:
The purpose of this team is working on partnerships & licensing for a large gaming studio.
Key projects:
This role will contribute to supporting the business development and program management for a gaming team that supports licensing and partner management.
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:
The role will consist of 80-85% managing projects and processes, updating trackers and negotiation materials, filing documentation and onboarding suppliers in systems, and supporting Senior Business Development managers as needed; 15-20% meetings with internal stakeholders.
This role provides the opportunity to drive visible impact with a large game studio with millions of players.
Responsibilities- Support senior Client managers in executing and managing partnership contracts for Gaming, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
- Assist with negotiation materials, contract templates, and operational tasks throughout all deal stages.
- Ensure proper filing of agreements and all relevant documentation in the contracts system and on the SharePoint.
- Use internal systems and internal finance tools to manage supplier set-up and payment requests to partners as needed.
- Look up and execute NDAs for new partnerships where none exist.
- Maintain Licensed DLC rights tracker (and other team trackers) and track upcoming expiry dates to ensure compliance.
- Support external partnerships proposals triage and response process.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Years of Experience
Required:
8+ overall years of experience in the field. - Degrees or certifications required:
No degree is required to be eligible for this role. - Best vs. Average:
The ideal resume would contain minimum 5 years experience in Business Development or a paralegal role managing and especially negotiating legal contracts in the gaming or entertainment industry, as well as significant experience with process management and prioritization in collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. - Performance Indicators:
Performance will be assessed based on quality of work, attention to detail, productive collaboration across teams, sense of urgency and meeting deadlines.
- Minimum 5 years experience with Project and task management
- Minimum 5 years experience with Collaboration with stakeholders
- Minimum 5 years experience with high attention to detail in managing complex processes, experience with managing legal contracts preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business management, liberal arts, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the Business Development field, preferably 8+ years in Business Development or in a paralegal role within Gaming or Entertainment industry.
- Preferred experience working with legal contracts, Finance and Legal teams on time-sensitive deals, while ensuring policy compliance.
- Support senior Client managers in executing and managing partnership contracts for Gaming, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
- Assist with negotiation materials, contract templates, and operational tasks throughout all deal stages.
