Kitchen Cook – Terra Kitchen
Full time – $20 to $22 an hour + benefits. The Kitchen Cook is primarily responsible for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace while providing exceptional service to guests.

- Maintain positive guest relations and resolve complaints to high satisfaction.
- Follow hotel policies for lost & found and handle guest/team member accidents.
- Promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts continuously.
- Assist in food preparation: chopping, cutting, measuring ingredients.
- Execute cooking tasks following recipes and presentation standards.
- Plate dishes based on senior chef's guidance.
- Keep kitchen area clean and organized; maintain workstations and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management: restock supplies, track usage, report shortages.
- Conduct taste tests and inspections for quality control.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with culinary team and servers for smooth operations.
- Stay knowledgeable of menu offerings and provide recommendations.
- Prepare and check materials/equipment for readiness.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment use and maintenance.
- Follow departmental policies and service procedures.
- Report accidents and breakages to F&B Manager or Executive Chef.
- Follow Food Safety Hygiene standards and OSHA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- United States citizen or valid work permit.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking English. Fluency in other languages beneficial.
- Accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
- Work in fast‑paced environment with urgency and empathy.
- Outstanding coordination, multi‑tasking skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Experience with POS, PMS, CRM, and hospitality software.
- Effective communication with guests, vendors, and team members.
- Diplomatic conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of food & beverage service operations preferred.
- Reports to the Executive Chef.
- Experience in high‑volume, production‑oriented environment.
- Knowledge of food sanitation regulations (Local, State, Federal).
- State Alcohol Server Certification required.
- State Food Handlers Certificate required.
- Stand and move freely for majority of shift.
- Lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
- Perform fine manipulation and repetitive hand/arm movements.
- Passively move on uneven surfaces; climb stairs occasionally.
- Work inside and outside in varied weather.
- Work in variable room temperatures; moderate noise level.
- Dexterity with kitchen equipment and heavy trays.
Salary: $20–$22 per hour + tips.
