The EHS Specialist II supports the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs across AAON’s operations. This mid-level role involves conducting audits, delivering training, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The specialist works independently on routine EHS matters and collaborates with cross-functional teams to promote a proactive safety culture.

The EHS Specialist II plays a key role in maintaining compliance and improving workplace safety. This position requires a solid understanding of EHS regulations and the ability to apply them in a manufacturing environment.
** Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
*** Conduct regular safety and environmental audits to identify risks and ensure compliance.
* Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and supervisors.
* Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
* Maintain and update EHS documentation, including permits, reports, and training records.
* Monitor hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with regulations.
* Support sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting.
* Assist in the development of emergency response plans and lead drills.
* Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to integrate safety into daily processes.#

* Education and Experience Requirements:

** Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field; 3+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance, auditing, or program administration, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
