Overview

We are searching for an experienced Receiving & Inventory Control Tech at our Redmond, OR facility. Support and implements procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present. This will require knowing what projects are up and coming.

Responsibilities
  • Works closely (daily) with other teams including scheduling, supply chain, project manager, sales, shipping, and purchasing.
  • Ensures that cycle counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner.
  • Support Audits the facility’s entire inventory on a regular basis and provides reports to management.
  • Files claims through the supply chain when defective goods are found in the inventory.
  • Keeps area for returned goods tidy and clean.
  • Keeps up with changing technologies such as computer software in order to remain valuable to his or her employer.
  • Follows all existing company policies and procedures.
  • Cross-trained for various production lines, shipping, and packaging.
  • Pro-Active daily knowledge of what projects are being assembled with inventory available each day and having inventory on hand for each week’s projects.
  • Oversee and direct activities involving the receipt, inspection, and accountability of incoming materials from other production facilities.
  • Prepare documents related to material receiving and shipping following company procedures or customer instruction.
  • Plan or coordinate outgoing shipments with public carrier or customer vehicle. This includes assisting the customer in loading of their ordered materials onto their vehicle.
  • Load/Unload doors and frames inbound from other production facilities.
  • Sort and organize all received door and frame orders.
  • Enforce safe operation of forklifts and trailer docking.
  • Supervise the effective coordination of traffic routing with existing Senneca employees.
  • Monitor materials, supplies and services to meet production and delivery schedules.
  • A concern for quality control is a requirement. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment. Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety and environmental rules.
Requirements
  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 75 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
  • Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks.
  • Compliance with Company policies explained in the Employee Handbook, including attendance, anti-harassment, standards of conduct, and safety policies.
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately.
  • Shows the ability to work well under pressure, such as when inventory deliveries or shipments become late or forgotten.
  • Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills; displays reading comprehension skills.
  • Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.
  • Displays the ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time without stress.
