JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Quality & Accreditation, the Corporate Compliance Manager is responsible for providing operational support to and daily management of Best Care’s Corporate Compliance Program to ensure full compliance with OIG and all applicable state and federal regulatory requirements. The role advances a culture of accountability toward compliance, implements proactive standards and procedures, identifies and manages compliance risks, assists with investigations of suspected non‑compliance, and implements corrective actions for continuous improvement.

This position supports the Compliance Officer/COO and collaborates closely with the Director of Quality & Accreditation and Program Directors, aligning all work with Best Care’s mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate, monitor, and execute day‑to‑day compliance activities and ad‑hoc projects as delegated by the Director of Quality & Accreditation.
  • Partner collaboratively and build strong relationships with key leadership; support problem‑solving, process improvement, and standardized best practices to achieve corporate compliance initiatives.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the leadership team and its individual members in alignment with Best Care’s strategic plan and business needs.
  • Design and conduct audits and investigations, document findings, maintain oversight from completion to remediation, and develop corrective action solutions in collaboration with business partners.
  • Partner with Program Directors for strategic improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with all staff to build a strong knowledge of the Compliance Program and maintain compliance with regulatory standards across the organization, assessing training needs.
  • Lead the Policy and Procedure Committee, ensuring timely management and posting of policies to the agency policy library.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing staff training and communication plans to promote understanding of compliance issues.
  • Direct and oversee efforts to communicate compliance standards and education; review and revise training materials and provide updates on regulatory developments.
  • Develop, revise, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that ensure legal, ethical, and efficient operations.
  • Oversee the policy database and management processes to ensure accessibility to all staff.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and streamline compliance reporting processes.
  • Manage and continuously improve the system that allows employees to report noncompliance without fear of retribution, ensuring prompt investigation and response.
  • Perform ongoing regulatory readiness through rounding with all departments and assist in maintaining risk assessments and work plan updates.
  • Regularly review industry publications to ensure current compliance requirements are recognized, prioritized, and implemented; communicate changes to relevant groups.
  • Support the Compliance Officer in coordinating Compliance Committee meetings, providing reports, and ensuring issues are addressed appropriately; serve on other committees as requested.
  • Provide briefings and policy recommendations to executives on OIG corporate compliance matters.
  • Travel to other Best Care locations as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
