Maintenance Technician I

Location:

Redmond, OR


Schedule:

Monday‑Friday (8 am‑5 pm)


Hours:

40 Full Time

Responsibilities
  • Assist the maintenance team in keeping the building in good repair, performing minor plumbing, janitorial, and related maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that all repairs are completed in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Pick up trash and keep breezeways, sidewalks, and grounds clear of clutter; rake and shovel as needed.
  • Assist in cleaning and turnover of vacant apartments to make them rent‑ready for the next tenant.
  • Help conduct move‑out inspections, including checking smoke detectors and other directed inspections.
  • Complete maintenance requests, work orders, and update the Property Maintenance Log daily.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections of all units.
  • Notify the Community Manager of safety‑related issues and lease agreement violations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurance.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers or employees.
  • Proficiency in basic math skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle limited standardization.
  • Physical ability to walk, lift 50–75 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift >100 lbs.
  • Ability to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
Tool Requirements

The employee must supply their own tools for maintenance work at work sites. A list of required tools may be obtained within 60 days of employment.

Schedule & Compensation

Compensation: $17.00–$21.00 per hour. 40 hours per week. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, RX, PTO, 11 paid holidays, disability and life insurance, and employee assistance program.
