We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team in a hands-on role supporting cost accounting and core financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for an accountant with a solid foundation in manufacturing or industrial accounting who is looking to deepen their experience, expand their skill set, and grow within a stable organization.

• Collect, analyze, and report on costs related to raw materials, labor, inventory, and production activities.
• Prepare standard vs. actual cost reports and perform variance analysis.
• Support cost accounting processes tied to product design changes, materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Review and audit contracts, purchase orders, and vouchers for accuracy prior to approval.
• Ensure proper classification and documentation of financial transactions in accordance with internal controls.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in entries, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounting for reserves, assets, and expenditures.
• Recommend practical improvements to accounting procedures and cost control processes.
• Work cross-functionally with operations and manufacturing teams to support accurate financial reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Working knowledge of cost accounting principles.
• Experience using ERP systems and Excel for financial analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Experience in commercial or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with GAAP and internal controls.
• CPA or CMA certification (or interest in pursuing one).
